How do we increase this number?  Mine is constantly giving me around a 12% success rate - precision is on 1

Hi, this is very scene-dependent. For example, if you have a lot of reflective surfaces visible in your scene, this number may be really low, and it is expected.

12% is super low though. Can you post image of the scene?

is 30% considered low? I'm working on a dusk shot looking across a river at a 8 storey building. All is in shadow put the sun is visible at edge of the frame i.e. backlit.

Noise level has remained on 3.12% from 47 to 50 and now gone up to 3.39% from 50 to 57 passes. Note: I'm also using DBR.

At the moment I'm thinking I probably don't need 100 passes but I don't want to stay and watch it.

(It would be good if corona baked more metadata into the exr file, like noise level, render time, camera transformations etc)
Specs: AMD 1950X, Aorus Gaming 7 x399, 64GB RAM, 1080ti. Win10, Max 2017, Corona 1.7.3

Hello there,

I dig this subject up, since I recently started again to take a look at the Success Rate stat, and saw it's about 26 % ... the scene doesn't seem fancy to me, but I'm wondering if this is expected ?
Using 3dsmax 2021.3, Corona v7 HF1.

Thanks in advance :)

Can you please share an archive of your scene with us? Preferably by submitting a ticket, or by simply using Corona Private Uploader:https://corona-renderer.com/upload

Good morning, GeorgeK,

I'm trying to upload the file but the I'm Not a Robot stuff is failing ... clicking on multiple pictures never ends :(
Using the alternative uploader then, file name: NicolasCaplat_Kitchen_LowSuccessRate.zip, under NDA. At that time, 4 minutes left for uploading.

Thanks in advance,

Regards.
