[Max] General Discussion / Re: Corona 8 License issue
« on: 2022-05-11, 17:33:59 »
Same problem here...
Uninstall procedere done as described in the troubleshooting, reinstalled everything.

The License Server is running, we can reach it via localhost:30304 and are able to sign in...

Nonetheless:
- extremely slow 3ds Max Startup after Corona 8 update (especially loading the ChaosScatterMax2019.dlt and ChaosMax2019.dlt)
- when 3ds is ready, switching the renderer to Corona also causes a freeze of 1-2 minutes
- when we try to start a rendering we get an error message that no license was found (-2)
- activating the license via the button in the render settings causes a crash

Win 10, latest Updates, 3ds Max 2019, Corona 8

[Max] I need help! / Re: VRaySphereFade in corona
« on: 2021-05-19, 15:18:26 »
My Workaround for this:

- create a sphere/box/whatever shape you want
- give it a corona material with 100% refraction and an IOR of 1.0
- render selected with the sphere included

No, nothing on the plans to change this, sorry.

I have to join the others:
i think it's a real bummer that you always have to resort to another renderer for volumetric animations, because you simply can't render "fly-throughs" with corona. honestly, i also thought that this problem was being worked on. too bad.

Corona Standalone / Standalone Documentation

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Re: Team Render Object ID
« on: 2020-11-02, 11:21:37 »
It would likely affect any situation with multiple machines, as each machine would generate its own set of colors.

I'm not 100% sure, but didn't this problem also occur with 3ds max with backburner, but was fixed long ago?

The overall stability of the Shared Shader will be improved

Will this include a fix for problems with the shared shader and Team Render? Right now we have a scene (R21, Corona 5 HF2) where the Direct Visibility Override and a Shadowcatcher on the floor use a shared Shader wich is rendering black instead of white when using Team Render...

[C4D] Feature Requests / TurbulenceFD Support
« on: 2020-04-17, 15:21:20 »
That would be great!

edit:
since i don't think that this will make it into corona for c4d in the near future, are there any workarounds to make this work? the physical renderer is really, really slow...

[C4D] I need help! / TurbulenceFD support
« on: 2020-04-15, 14:54:58 »
Hi guys,
I've been browsing the forum a bit but unfortunately I couldn't find a definitive answer if Corona for C4D is compatible with TurbulenceFD...

Any info would be helpful!

Off-Topic / Re: Working Remotely

VPN

I can highly recommend Wireguard as a VPN solution! The bandwidths and latencys are amazing, the Server and Clients are pretty lightweight...
https://www.wireguard.com/

Remote Desktop:

RDP over VPN: works, but in our case we have problems with the display of cinema 4ds viewport...

Additional solution: RDP with the Apache Guacamole Gateway:
https://guacamole.apache.org/
HTML5 Based Gateway to RDP, SSH, VNC, etc... since the gateway is in your lan and you will have to expose it to the public (usually via port-forwarding) security and authentication should be handled with care (2FA and stuff)... in our case, same problems with the Cinema 4D Viewport...

Chrome Remote Desktop... great alternative to teamviewer/anydesk/etc
Performance is great, everything works as expected

Once again as a friendly advice for your future questions:

With the information you provided nobody would be able to give you this kind of solution without a lot of guessing...
If you want help, please add more information to your posts.

Since we still don't know anything about the scene- or material setup, we would have to guess what the problem is.
I am not sure if i am feeding a troll right know.

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Team Render - Light Cache in Beauty
« on: 2019-10-27, 14:22:32 »
When you choose a short update interval and a render node needs longer to calculate the Sec. Gi, the node will send its greenish "Light Cache Image" to the master which will bake it into the beauty... not sure if this is correct...

Looks kinda strange :)

Sorry, forgot to mention:

Cinema 4D R20
Corona 4 Hotfix 3

+1
The internal Proximal Shader is not that great :/

@bkjernisted, are you trolling? Because if not, you're the worst assistance seeking person i've ever saw.

I thought the same thing when I looked at the other posts from him...
