please allow option for camera white balance on/off in viewport

(1/1)

When I work in a typical archviz scene, I might have a camera with a specific (non-default 6500[K]) white balance (e.g. 8000[K]), which also makes my viewport have this color. adjustment..  I just don't find the need to have this white balance adjustment made in the viewport, as it actually makes it harder to get proper overview of materials.  I would prefer to be able to deactivate the white balance in the viewport (as a camera tag setting).

Hi, I'm afraid that this is handled completely by C4D so we cannot do anything about it. We could fake it somehow by removing the white balance effect in our materials, but other 3rd party or original C4D materials, lights etc... would still have the white-balance modified. This would look inconsistent and very confusing, so I personally would be against doing such a change.

Erm I might be getting your "issue" wrong but have you tried clicking on the little "Affect Lights Only" button right below the camera's white balance settings?

hmmmmmm......  yes.

not sure why I never knew about this!...  of course, being in the main c4d camera settings, I seldom venture there.

Thanks!
