The aerial shot is perfect! I really love it. How about the lighting? Using corona sun & sky or HDRI?
Lighting for the aerial shot was done with sun+sky as it offers the best control for exact rotation, angle and sun-disc-scale to match the backplate reference.
The other exteriors use HDRIs from NoEmotion

We really appreciate all your positive feedback, thank you!!!

The drone-shot is absolutely tremendous, well done +1

Could you describe a little more how that render was composed?

For the drone shot we were given a set of around 20 aerial photographs with completly different angles, positions, heights from around the property. We've then used matchmoving software 3DEqualizer to measure each of that shots with a bunch of tracking points which ideally should be visible in some of the other shots as well. After that it is able to calculate the exact position, rotation and angle of our desired final-camera in 3D-Space with a pixel deviation of less then 1px for a 4k shot.
The property including the fence is 3D with some corrections in Photoshop. Hardest part was to match grading of the photography and rendering and make them look good with all other images.

Haus im Dol
is our most recent project we worked on.
A classical architecture style is combined with modern elements. The interiors also show that style mix of classical stucco profiles on the ceiling, handmade and manufactured woodflooring in contrast to rather modern furnitures.
The house will offer 3 apartments in total, all of them with their own parking lot in the basement. The unique selling point of this residential house was shown in the bird's-view we managed to match with a drone-shot.

Software: Cinema4D, Corona 3, Photoshop, 3DEqualizer

[C4D] Feature Requests / Re: Multipass Bulk Render Passes
« on: 2018-11-04, 16:15:47 »
Absolutely agree to DRM - Max. If using Masks massively adding 20 on 1 click with automated numbers would already be really helpful.
I remember a renderengine providing a "add several masks" button, simple request for number, added the given number of passes with right numbers in obj ID and mat iD

Bloom&Glare Multipass Layer is still not working. If I remember correctly this was was reportet over a year ago and you promised to fix it with release of B2

8
got a strange bug that will crash cinema every time i click on one specific material.

confirmed on
Version: B2 daily Aug  3 2018 (core 3 (DailyBuild Aug  3 2018))
and Version: B2 rc 2 (core 3 (DailyBuild Oct 10 2018))

in C4D R18.057 MacOS

9
confirmed on Win64 C4D R18.

Furthermore i noticed that node system is heavily based on the "corona shared" shader but when this is used, bitmaps disappear from c4d texture manager... which always is a big advantage to use.
Would be great if we could get this back working ;)

Nevertheless, great job guys!!!

It was done in single action. Doesn't matter if you have 6 or 1000 materials to manipulate.

The real deal breaker is the limitation within C4D. Not sure if it's still the case, but i often hit the limit on number of selected objects/materials/tags user can have to edit all at once.
Also i never counted, neither did dwell further...

The C4D default setting for this is 5000 but can be changed in c4d preferences.

"You need teh Quadro card bro, it has electrolytes, can't make pro work without it, it says so on the website ! Also, my grand grandfather used to move some pixels and he always said get ECC memory to avoid viruses!".

That's gold :D

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Rendering a normal A3 image
« on: 2018-02-08, 22:55:37 »
I‘m doing renderings like this in daily business with no problems at all.
If your rendering behaves different(crashes) in higher resolutions but runs fine with lower  resolutions its most likely a memory issue.
One thing most people don‘t take into consideration is displacement. As this is resolution dependant (screen Space) by default and mesh subdivs will substantially increase and fill your memory with higher resolutions.
I highly recomend monitoring your memory usage. fe with Taskmanager oder activity monitor (OSX)

best regards

Just a simple question or a feature request, if i may:

Would it be possible to make use of Cinema's integrated Material Override (it works with Corona for overriding materials but does not preserves the channels).

ie.

iirc, i did mention it some time ago...

I fear as c4d's native Material Override is a newer feature introduced with R17, corona would lose support for older c4d versions.

Great job and congrats to all of you developers!

Just noticed you released the Beta 1 officially yesterday.
Is the Beta 1 based on the B1-RC4 or are there any further bugfixes included?
I wasn't able to find a full changelog of the B1 since RC4 was released.

best regards!
