Hi All,

  i have new system with intel i7 12700k,  Palit RTX 3060 12G , 64Gb RAM, Winodws 11

But with Corona v9 Hotifx 1 it is much much slower as my four years old AMD  ...
What can be a problen ?

At rendfering all core have a full load, but only if i disable E-Cores, but this not perfomance profit.

Did you try to run Corona benchmark and compare your result with the average time from the users with the same CPU? https://corona-renderer.com/benchmark/results/cpu/12700k/5

You mentioned that you had to disable e-cores. I think it's expected that if you disable some cores, the overall performance will go down. The question is, why do you have to cripple down your CPU? I think Windows 11 should be able to handle new generation CPUs reasonably well. Maybe you need to install latest updates on your OS?

If e-cores are allowed -  only 20% CPU load ....

How exactly are you measuring this? Are you rendering the same scene with a specific time limit, pass limit, noise limit, looking at rays/s, or maybe something else?

The question remains though, it took 50 minutes to render... to 5% noise? To 50 passes? What was the target for the render that tells it when to stop, so we know what took 50 minutes to do.

Sorry, but that's not how proper comparison should be done. If you're comparing old pc vs new pc with different Corona versions, then it's quite possible that the reason of slow rendering is not in hardware. Since Corona 4 is very old, it could be that something went wrong with render settings and the scene is not representing full speed of Corona rendering. Did you at very least tried to reset render settings? If you want fair comparison, install Corona 4 on the new pc and render the scene. On the other hand, most simple solution was already suggested to you - run Corona benchmark and compare your result with other entries, then you will know for sure if there's something wrong with your new pc, or it's just your measuring methodology is flawed.

yes, to 5% noises

Please do not use noise limit for performance tests like this.
There are two ways you can measure performance:

1)
Use the same scene on computer A and B.
Set a specific pass limit (for example 50 passes).
Let it render for 50 passes on computer A and B.
Compare the resulting render times. The computer with shorter render time has better performance.

2)
Use the same scene on computer A and B.
Start rendering and observe the ray/s value in the Stats tab of the VFB.
The computer with higher rays/s value has better performance.
