Hello there,
I´m facing an issue. My animated corona proxy in mesh mode used to become wire box whatever I do in viewport settings.
It´s happening in corona 7 SP1. Never faced it in corona 6.

Thx!

Hi,

Do you have the keep in memory checkbox enabled? I have a feeling this might be the cause of this.

Thanks,

Rowan

Hi Rowan,

I double checked here and in full mesh mode it´s freeze to uncheck (screenshot_2).
My export setting that I used to generate animated proxies (Screenshot_3)

We're experiencing exactly the same issue with animated proxies.
Almost impossible to export previews from Viewport because of this bug.

Funny thing is that we did an animation last year with the same proxies and it was working smoothly.
Now, updated to Corona 8, we have this problem.

Any known solution?

Unfortunatelly I got this answer from support team:

"The "flicker" between modes is because of the asynchronous loading introduced in Corona 7. This makes the textures and proxies be loaded much faster but may come with such drawback.

I will see what is possible to report about this and make it better.
But for now using Corona 7 and newer, you may probably use the workarounds I proposed."

Workaround is generate viewport before convert into proxies, but for me it´s impossible to do it.

Hi, we have this logged and although it seems to be a limitation for the moment it might be improved in some way in the future.

Thanks for your replies guys.
Ok, so for now there's no proper way to fix this. It's a pity.

However, I kind of "fixed" for the moment leaving the preview of the proxies in Point Cloud mode but increasing the percentage to something like 60-70%. It still flickers and I still see the wire box but it's "acceptable".
At least we can try to work with this.

Let's hope the developers will fix this as soon as possible!
