Title: NEWBIE QUESTIONS!
Post by: wardy_mk on 2023-03-01, 20:20:31
Hello. I'm a total beginner to Corona. Been using C4D for a long time however. I have a couple of queries.

Firstly, I have taken a supplied scene as a starting point to learn Corona. I've deleted most of the things so my lighting etc is all there to drop things into.
I have something that's made of clear plastic. I've downloaded the material from the material library and applied it to my object but in the viewport the material looks solid black. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Secondly, when I click on the Corona VFB button it brings the window up huge and the image goes off the bottom of the screen, I can't even grab the corner of it. Is there a way to have a specific sized VFB?

Thanks very much in advance

Hi there,

For the VFB, if this is for interactive rendering, you can limit how big you want it in the Corona preferences here:

As for the plastic, this is a known issue. You can either use a standard C4D material as a stand-in and replace it at the time of render (or use it to render)

Or you could try enabling X-Ray in the viewport options. Note that the material will be transparent only when selected.
