After using Cinema4D, then switching to Modo, and back to Cinema4D, there was one feature I didn't know I needed till it was gone.  Modo's IR has a feature that lets you scrub your mouse over any area of the render to clean it up faster than the rest of the image and then when you stop, it cleans up the rest of the image as normal.  I've found myself doing this subconsciously now!

Using Render Regions does much the same thing, you can move the render region around as a brush if you like :)
