Hi

In Deadline Corona for 3DSM has a great Render Status feedback, can this function be implemented also in case of the Cinema 4D jobs?

Hi Mirel,

Here's a direct copy from Thinkbox of after my email and them looking at this thread.

"For C4D there are a few things that we can look at for improving our support for Corona depending on what customers are interested in and what is accessible.

From the looks they are mostly wanting additional Render Progress, for this we hook into the standard out of C4D and run regex’s to scrape the information that we need.  So as long as render progress is printed we should be able to scrape it and add support for progress handling.

Other support that could be added includes us parsing the output file names so users can easily access them and so we can perform tile rendering.  For this out of the box we should already support the main render pass and all default multipasses,  we would need to add explicit support for any Post Effects Passes.  A pointer in where to access these in Python would be much appreciated since every renderer I have seen handles this completely differently.

Finally export workflows, we can look into adding an export workflow for Corona into our integrated submitter.  This involves us exporting the Corona scene (either locally or on the users render farm) then rendering using Corona Standalone.  In order to do this we need to be able to export from C4D using python once again any pointers for where to look for this in python would be beneficial."
