I worked on a scene and at one moment after I save scene and reopen the scene was crushed. After I opened the scene from autoback this file scene is opened. But if I save this scene and reopen continue to crush. I experimented with scene parts and if I save objects with corona distance map in material this scene will crush.

Windows 10 64bit
3dsmax 2016
Corona version: 6
Full-speed, Non-debug, MaxSDK 2016
Build timestamp: Aug 31 2020 09:20:26

Hi,

I wasn't able to reproduce the crash in the scene that you sent. However I did notice quite a few missing assets. Would you be able to archive all of the assets and send them over to us?

Instructions on how to do this can be found in my signiture.

Cheers,

Rowan

Hi, now I maybe understand what happening. Now I see all objects in the distance map are x-ref objects in the second file.

Link scene with resources. Open this scene and it will crushes and after this, you need to save autoback press ok. And after Open this Autoback file. You will see the result this scene will open but cant save and reopen. But all operations need to do in 3dsmax 2016. In 3dsmax 2020 after open autoback scene still crush and not open.

Hi,

Thanks for the further information. I can reproduce this issue in the updated scene which you sent through.

I will report this to our dev team and see what can be done.

Cheers,

Rowan

Hi,

I have carried on looking into this one, the scene crashes even if Corona is not installed on the system.

So I think that this is related to 3ds Max and Autodesk. With your permission I will forward the report and scene to them for further investigation.

Thanks,

Rowan
