This is my 3d remake of a photograph by Satoshi Asawaka.

Architectural Design by Tatsuyuki Takagi Architects Associates. I used 3dsmax, Corona (A6) and Photoshop.

Thanks.

Great job yes !
Concrete walls are so real and the environment is amazing. I was thinking it was a photo...

But when you compare it to the origin photo, the wood seems to have a lot of little holes, it's curious...
Anyway it's a great render !

you know you can have you HDRI enviroment with a direct sunlight set to .04 intensity and you'll get the same direct light effect as in the picture. Looks great!

@mitviz  Thanks.

@ RolandB - Thank you. U are right about the holes in the wood. This project was a side project so I was working on it from time to time. The holes are from a bump map I painted by hand while working on the wood material. It was supposed to be refined later but by the time I got round to working on it, I kinda forgot. It dawned on me after I had finished rendering but since it didn't take away from  the aim I was trying to achieve which was photorealism and I had to move on to another project. I decided to leave it in. Everything in the scene is cg and all textured by hand painting with additional procedural maps in 3dsmax.

@Alex Abarca - Thanks for the suggestion, mate. U are right. But I didn't use a HDRI image. The scene is lit with a simple corona sun and corona sky.
