Alternatively one can adjust hues of his monitor until Corona VFB's icons becomes orange :]

Because too much orange can make you sick.

Yes, and that is physically correct. Picture in your example was taken from up close, from a distance it'd look like single reflection.

It would be 2 boxes or 2 planes depending if you need refraction or not.

You can easily change default yourself. In render settings performance tab enable devel/debug mode, new rollout will appear, in it click on open config dir, an explorer window with Corona's config files will open. Find most recent file named config-xxxxx.conf, open it with notepad, look for line "int interactive.passLimit", if there isn't one add it "int interactive.passLimit = 100". From now on by default IR will be limited at 100 passes.

I'm on max2014 sp5, win 7 and i don't experience any of your mentioned problems with IR. Could it be max or even OS specific?

I mentioned it in another thread as well but could we please have the IR pass limit set to 100/150 instead of 50? I feel like 50 is way too low for region and blow-up rendering and even for full view rendering.

You can specify IR pass limit in performance tab, by default it shoul de 0, i.e. unlimited.

While we at it, can you make gizmo size multiplier to go beyond 99? I have exact opposite problem with it - i work mostly in system uints set in cm and when light intensity is about 1, those coolLines are tiny even when gizmo is maxed out. I don't mind to adjust it manually, though, but simply there's nowhere to adjust :]

Ok, i withdraw my suggestion to use bitmap in CoronaLight's texmap slot - it looks that it's not suitable for this thing at all. However you can do it exactly like in RL: make your light very small and very strong, put a screen (plane) between light and car - you may want to play with distance between screen and light, assign that screen material with diffuse - 0, refraction - 1, ior - 1 and map refraction colour with bitmap you want to project. Alternatively you can use photometric light instead of Corona's one - it has slot for projector map in it.

Also there's third option, which i prefer the most. It's camera mapping - no need to fiddling around with lights, you can project image exactly where you want.

You shouldn't blow out those whites so much - it really looks bad. Highlight compression might help here.

Excellent! Good news is that from V1.3 those buttons will be in bright orange colour and something is telling me that this improvement may have highest ROI so far :]

Render ends if one of those criterias are met:
  • pass limit is set to other than 0 and set passes are reached
  • time limit is set to other than 0 and time runs out
  • user manually stops render
  • electricity loss, computer breaks down, earthquake starts, etc...*

* in case of number 4, autosave may be not saved correctly ;]

7004
If interval is set at 20 min. then first render will be saved at 20 minutes after render starts, then after another 20 and so on. And one more image, named [set_name]_end, is saved when rendering ends. Keep in mind that autosave overwrites older files, so  first file saved wouldn't necessary be numbered with 001.

Not sure if i entirely correct understood your question. But if you talking about light projector, then yes, plug image or image sequence into CoronaLight's or CoronaLightMtl's texmap slot and you good to go. But i wouldn't recoment to set directionality at 1.0. First of all it can produce a lot of noise in Corona and second, it's physically incorrect - even lasers don't emmit 100% parallel light beam. Instead make your light source smaller and set directionality at 0.4 - 0.6, that should resemble real life projectors much more.
