Hi.

I'm having an issue where I have several skylights in the ceiling and when I have both sky and sun on I get artefacts and jagged edges in the shadows.
I have sky and sun set to an intensity of 1.

This problem goes away if I have either the sun or the sky on their own so it only happens when I have both.

Thanks.
Cian.

Those look like there's something wrong with the normals, not the shadows.
Are the models imported from somewhere else? I get this kind of stuff with CAD models sometimes.

No it's not the Normals.
I created the building myself and I've been working with these assets for awhile now.

I'm more used to working with Redshift so not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong.

I'm using c4d R23 and Corona 7 fix 2

Does it happen with pure pathtracing, too (no caching involved)?

Hello there!

To piggyback on Cinemike's post, could you also please try rendering out a quick preview with the "Adaptive Light Solver" turned off? You may find it under Render settings -> Performance Settings.

Those squares really shouldn't be there, na-ah. We'll try to get to the bottom of this :)

Thanks for the quick feedback folks.

I know we'll get to the bottom of this.
I'll run some more tests later this evening and revert back.

Cheers.
Cian.

BINGO! Adaptive Light Solver was the issue for some reason.
That's handy to know if the issue pops up again.

Thanks for your help.
Cian.
