Operations procedure:
1. Start 3dsmax
2. Corona render choice
3. start interactive
4. create plane + other object
5. start compact MatBrowser
6. choice CoronaMtl
Crash

win7 x64
3dsMax 2012 x64
3dsMax 2014 x64

Dev team is working hard on fixing interactive rendering bugs right now. There's little point in reporting issues with older builds, i think. It may be already fixed in newest one (10-19).
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

I've tried exactly your steps and it works fine without crash on max 2015 :).
i'll try in max 2014.

The IR stability was massively improved, but you can still try it with the newest build to see if it is fixed ;)
Rendering is magic.How to get minidumps for crashed/frozen 3ds Max | Sorry for short replies, brief responses = more time to develop Corona ;)
