Hi Benjamin,
the color settings are already set like you mentioned, I've never touched the default ones.
The problem is happening only with the interactive viewport. If I use the interactive rendering (the windowed one) I see everything correctly.

17
Are you using some custom color management settings? This looks like gamma 1.0 vs 2.2.
I don't even know where this setting is lol. Yesterday everything was fine, now it's broken

Update, this issue is in Cinema4d 2023. I've tried with the R23 and there aren't problems

Hi guys!

I noticed a problem today, I'm getting slightly different results between interactive render and final render. I thought the problem was Corona 11 so I rolled back to 10, but the problem is still there.
I'm having this issue with every scene.

[C4D] Feature Requests / Custom shape render region?
« on: 2023-11-16, 17:44:40 »
Hey guys!
I was wondering if is there any chance to get an option to draw a custom render region, free hand or using something like the polygonal lazo in Photoshop.
In attached screenshot for example, I should need only the dark green area to be render.

Yes, I know there's the include list, sometime tho would be better to have the "polygonal region"

Hmm, I mean only thing that seems a bit off to me is that you have absorption set to full on black. I'm not sure if I understand what kind of hazy effect you're after but setting it to grey might help?

Would be glad to help, do you happen to have any examples of the hazy effect you're after?

Hey Nejc, I'm attaching here an example.
As suggested by Pokoy I'm trying to tweak the directionality and it kinda helps to improve the effect

Hi guys,

I've been struggling for a while to find good parameters to setup global volume effect using volume material inside "Scene environment".
I can't achieve that nice "hazy" effect around light sources, and I struggle aswell to get nice volumes from light emitters (I usually use small circular emitters with a directionality that ranges from 35% to 50%, high intensity that is often >1500).
Any suggestion on parameters/colors to use in the shader?

I'm attaching here a test I did and values used, as you can see the light bar (corona light material applied) has no hazy stuff around it.

Maybe the ''Render selected'' option might be useful to you? Add what you want rendered and you'll get just that. ;)

I use render select often, it does kill the render times but not that much. Render region works way better :)

Another thing you can try is to disable ''Single bounce only''. There are some trade offs for this which are mentioned in the article above. I hope this helps.

Alright, I will test some frames without the single bounce.
In the meanwhile I started rendering with a cropped frame, activating c4d render region and excluding all the black areas on the sides. This simple thing kills render times, each frame now takes less than 5 mins to render.
Pretty weird considering that the black area around the spray is just blank, nothing happening there.

At a guess, I would say that the volumetrics of the plastics is causing this. You could try to increase the directionality.

Yes sure, volumetrics is 100% the issue here, can't turn it off because the real product is like this.
Increasing directionality would modify the look of the liquid I guess

[C4D] I need help! / How to improve render times
« on: 2023-08-09, 12:09:40 »
Hey guys!
I'm working on a simple animation but render times are going to be huge, each frame is taking about 10 minutes on my workstation (i9 13900k).
As you can see the scene is simple, just a spray bottle, few lights and dark background.
The render is slow because of the liquid inside that is made with volume.
Any tips on how to optimize settings to speed up the render?

Cheers guys

Hi guys, sorry for the delay... I forgot to post my answer.
Using corona bitmap fixes the problem.

29
Hi there, are you using a Corona bitmap or a standard C4D one?
Hi Bengamin, I loaded the standard c4d texture like I've always done since I started using Corona in 2018. I can't understand why the problem appears just with this particular texture...
It never happened.
I will try to load the texture in corona bitmap tomorrow ;)

Hi guys,

I'm having some troubles with triplanar. Every map in the material you will see attached is working fine, the bump map that I'm using in the normal channel is working wrong tho.
I can't understand why, all triplanars are setup in the same identical way. If I set the material to cubic mapping everything works fine.
