Hardware / Dual Monitor
« on: 2023-01-27, 20:13:11 »
Hello guys,

I've been searching for a new monitor. My main one so far is a Dell U2518D 2560x1400 but my secondary monitor is meh. So I'd like to get a new one for main and switch my main to secondary.
Do you have any recommendation? I wouldn't like to go above 27" because the difference will be too much and I don't mind going for 4k. Budget max 500 euro

Thanks in advance

[Max] General Discussion / Caustics corona 8, black squares
« on: 2022-09-29, 12:34:25 »
Hello guys, I've come across this problem for the first time. I did search a bit and I found out that everyone mentions about Caustics Adaptivity in Performance settings, but on Corona 8 there is not such an option in Performance tab. Is it moved elsewhere? Thanks

Visualization & Art Direction:
Tall-e Studio

Client & Furniture:
Stillmade Brooklyn, NY

The main idea of Stillmade project was to design a space that will highlight the unique and handmade pieces of their furniture.

After discussion and research we ended up going for a neutral color palette and a sharp but bright lighting that will fit perfectly with their ideas of the new American design.

Software used 3Ds max & Corona Renderer.

Thank you.
Hope you enjoy!

General CG Discussion / Prune-scene problem
« on: 2021-09-18, 02:00:57 »
Hello guys, i did some re-installation of 3ds max recently and I can't get prune scene plugin to work, not even open.

I get an error every time I drag in the .mzp file "--Cannot assign to read-only variable: removeDir"

Any ideas how to fix that?

A tiny project focused on Corona Renderer caustics, because I never really had the chance to play around with it yet.

[Max] I need help! / RAM problem
« on: 2021-08-31, 12:55:36 »
Hello guys,

I have a very simple and small scene, though it has a strong DOF and motion blur on geometry.
When I start rendering system uses about 5 GB(I have a total of 64 GB) for the scene and suddenly somewhere between 9-10 render pass it start going up 300mb each time and the CPU is going down to 5%. That happens until RAM hit its limit and the system doesn't really responds, though I can save my file etc. but I cannot stop the render or something.

I tried deleting stuff, I tried removing DOF/blur still nothing. Sometimes the rendering pass can reach about to 30-40 but the result will be the same.

Any ideas here?

serendipity.

During these difficult days, most of us creatives seek a safe space in our own home, one that exudes serenity but also provides us with enough stimuli to keep our imagination alive and running.
---
I envisioned this working as a home as well as a source of inspiration for a creative person, being clean as well as having a lot of personality in its details.
The idea was to create an elegant minimalistic space, full of bright natural light. I used natural materials, such as wood and stone, to give it an earthy feel.
---
The project title expresses my hope that things will change for better soon and we will be able to say we have gained something, despite the difficulties we now face.

In this project I used 3ds max, Corona renderer, Photoshop and After Effects.

Hope you enjoy!

.ADAGIO.

I created a classical apartment to contrast the modern simplicity and colorful fabrics under some low lighting situation.

Dark & Moody are two words that describes this space flawlessly. Its something I wanted to do in my free time since I started working as 3D artist but I was never on the mood or had the time
and if you are already working on that field then you probably know that inspiration is just not there sometimes.

The sofa by BOSC, the armchairs and the low table by BuzziSpace makes you feel that warmth and relaxation feeling alongside the danish design idea.
On the other side the moldings and the gold bar trolley gives you the idea of a minimalistic art deco style which happens to be one of my favorites.

In this project I used 3ds max, Corona renderer, Photoshop and After Effects.

Hope you enjoy!

Sin-cinnati

Sin-cinnati is the first commissioned project of TALL•E studio and it's a two-level apartment in the city center of Cincinnati.
The main goal was to make it look warm, friendly and modern at the same time.
One of the distinction of the house was the big openings
so we took advantage of them with as much natural light as possible

Our work is done using 3Ds max,Corona renderer and Photoshop

Hope you enjoy!

The main goal was to keep the color palette neutral, with brown being dominant contrasting the dark credenza and its props.

This project was made in 3ds Max using Corona render and the post-production was done in Photoshop & AE.
