Hi,

I did have problems opening C4D this morning and had to re-activate my licence. I did read something on ReEdit that you will no longer be able to rent/buy C4D only. I sincerely hope this is not true??? I will not be able to afford RS & Corona. If this is the case we need a REVOLT!!!!

Hi Tom,

I see, I thought you could use 2 machines with one Corona licence, use the second machine as a TR machine. Not possible without another licence? Did work, then did not. No biggie, my workstation is rendering the frames at 20sec, the laptop 3mins so not really worth it, LOL.

Hi Forum,

I got it going by deleting the 9 ies lights i had in a cloner above. But now it has stopped working again with a error saying 'corona is not activated'. How do I activate Corona on my laptop that is running Team Render without opening C4D on the laptop as my licence for C4D is assigned to my workstation?

Hi Forum,

I know this might not be a Corona problem so please forgive me! I have my workstation with 96GB RAM(AMD 7950X) and a Aero17 Laptop with 64GB RAM (Intel i9 10th Gen). I'm trying to get Team Render to work but keeps giving me a 'out of memory' in the TM Client console. The scene is only small, a logo animated for 10secs for my website header. Is there certain things I need to check-mark to get it to work? Many thank's, John :-) Both machines are on Windows 11 Pro BTW.

Hi Forum,

I bought a new custom workstation a while back and have deleted C4D off my laptop. I have a few projects on a external HD but it has lost all the links. What is the best way to get these links sorted on the new workstation? Many thanks, John :-)

Hi Luis,

I have to be honest. Been blaying arround with Vantage for a while now and personally, I thought it was going to be a lot more straight forward. I have realised I would have to work the Vantage way too much to make it work (i.e materials etc). I also find Vantage results to be no way near as good as Corona. Corona is superfast and I have a pretty darn fast workstation so come to the conclusion I won't be using it or have the need to churn out projects faster than what I'm able at the mo. Vantage is a great app but think it needs more time to mature :-)

Hi Forum,

Been playing around with Vantage and I was impressed by the speed... then I started using it and personally thought it would be a lot more straight forward. I would never have time on live projects to use it, to convert materials etc... It is impressive and fast but quality in my oppinion is NO WAY NEAR Corona's. Then I ask myself, do I really need speed over quality when I have a render engine that is superfast with a top workstation? I will be sticking with Corona :-) Only my oppinion btw.

Hi,

Been trialing Vantage as well. A bit more involved than I thought. Only accepts uvw mapped materials which for me is a problem. Not as straight forward as I was hoping. Still, early days for Corona so will keep watching...

Hi Support,

Occationally when I set a batch of takes renders to go they render much darker. Only happens occationally. Stop render, then start again and all is well. No big problem but a little one. On 12 btw.

Hi Support,

Just had a answer from Chaos and they tell me they only support UVW mapping. Unfortunately pretty much all my materials are front & cubic mapping so Vantage would be useless to me. What a shame.

Not sure if this is a Corona or Vantage problem? I am trialing Vantage and a lot of materials are coming over with wrong projection. I have supplied two images so you can see the problem. I have sent Chaos a request as well. Many thanks :-) John

Hi Team,

I am trying to open a project in Vantage but keeps crashing. Probably because of materials I guess? The materials that work don't keep their mappings correct, ie cubic turns uvw etc. I will sit down on the weekend and have a little play n learn. Would be handy if i could be flagged what materials are causing the crashes.
