[C4D] I need help! / Creating a virtual point n click tour question...

Hi Forum,

Just had a request to do a book store virtual tour. It's a basic point n click, then look around at the selected points. I read that you can now do this with Chaos/Corona. Can this be outputed as a stand alone project I can send to the client or is it a login thing? They need it for a conference so guessing it needs to be standalone? Never done one before but understand how it works. Any advice and guidance would be super helful, thanks :-) JS

[C4D] I need help! / C4D Legacy Spotlights in 2025.3 disappeared???

Hi Forum,

Upgraded to C4D 2025.3 yesterday and can't find the normal 'Legacy' spotlights. Have they been abolished? I know this is more a Maxon question but they are not exactly helpful unless you use RS. I can only see RS spots and they seem to take longer to render. Corona team, will you introduce Corona spotlights in the future? Have a good weekend All :-) John

[C4D] I need help! / C4D 2025 Asset Browswer Not Creating Previews

Hi Forum,

I finally started creating my own C4D assets in the 'Asset Browser'. This might be a question for Maxon but in all fairness, if I mention I'm using Corona they will not answer, so thought best to ask here first... I created a DB of CGaxis City Scene, all converted for Corona, most preview ok apart from two models. I am now creating a asset lib for 3D Kitbash but all models I'm importing are all showing a back preview, they import ok but need a preview to see wht it is? Anyone else had this problem or do I need to contact (un-helpful unless you use Redshift) Maxon? Have a good weekend all :-)

[C4D] I need help! / Animated light gel materials

Hi Forum. I am creating a restaurant 9m x9m with 360 projection on the walls. 3 projectors per wall and using a standard c4d spot light with a gel image infront as projection. Can I use a movie clip as the colour gel and render OK in Corona? To show how the projections will look if this makes sense? Not done this before so would be good to get some advice first? Many thanks 😊

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Total Freez if I cancel take render....

Hi Forum,

Not a mayor problem, more my teretz finger clicking on TAKE render instead of single render. If I cancel, it freezes............. All other renders, If I cancel, returns. Just a little note :-)

PS: On Windows 11 Pro and AMD 16core.

[C4D] I need help! / Animating Exposure change not working...

Hi Forum!

I am doing a store animation walking from outside to inside. I have a corona camera tag and want to change the exposure from -2 (outside) to 0 once inside. I can click the 'override' and 'enable' to record the transition but not allowing me to record (click the diamond). Probably a really simple solution! Animation is not my strongest area. Thanks :-)

Hi Forum,

I know this might not be a Corona problem so please forgive me! I have my workstation with 96GB RAM(AMD 7950X) and a Aero17 Laptop with 64GB RAM (Intel i9 10th Gen). I'm trying to get Team Render to work but keeps giving me a 'out of memory' in the TM Client console. The scene is only small, a logo animated for 10secs for my website header. Is there certain things I need to check-mark to get it to work? Many thank's, John :-) Both machines are on Windows 11 Pro BTW.

Hi Forum,

I bought a new custom workstation a while back and have deleted C4D off my laptop. I have a few projects on a external HD but it has lost all the links. What is the best way to get these links sorted on the new workstation? Many thanks, John :-)

Hi Forum,

Been playing around with Vantage and I was impressed by the speed... then I started using it and personally thought it would be a lot more straight forward. I would never have time on live projects to use it, to convert materials etc... It is impressive and fast but quality in my oppinion is NO WAY NEAR Corona's. Then I ask myself, do I really need speed over quality when I have a render engine that is superfast with a top workstation? I will be sticking with Corona :-) Only my oppinion btw.

Hi Support,

Occationally when I set a batch of takes renders to go they render much darker. Only happens occationally. Stop render, then start again and all is well. No big problem but a little one. On 12 btw.

Not sure if this is a Corona or Vantage problem? I am trialing Vantage and a lot of materials are coming over with wrong projection. I have supplied two images so you can see the problem. I have sent Chaos a request as well. Many thanks :-) John

Hi All,

Watched the webinar on Vantage today and very keen to trial it. I have a big pop-up event site I would love to trial. Quite a complex scene with 100's of materials. Some are legacy some are standard mats. I looked at the vantage compatability chart and recon quite a few will fail. Is there a way to get these highlighted or is this something that could be created? Similar to the 'Convert To Corona' but for Vantage? I will see how it goes once I have my trial up n running :-)

Hi Support,

Very keen to try Vantage but going to wait with my trial until Corona can use camera animations. All my work is set up with C4D camera rigs so will wait until this is possible. Just curious when this will be in the next 13 daily build? Weeks or month? Gave it a go for a day and very impressed.

Hi All,

First I wanted to say the new decals are AWESOME! Being able to bend them is a massive one. Is there a simple way to impliment double sided decals? Would be super handy for bottle labels needing white paper on the back. I know Tom showed me a way to do it but can't remeber and it was a bit labour intensive.

Hi Support,

Great work on the last build! I signed up for a 30 day trial for Vantage but asked them to postpone it as it was too early. I am super keep to learn Vantage with Corona mainly for store/event fly-throug's so need to know when is the best time to re-activate my trial? I have a full ALDI store I built and kept the mats as simple as possible to port to Octane. I have set up 8 walk-through animations and would love to spend the 30-day trial to texture, light and animate this with Vantage. When you release 12, will it be ok and have all features available? I have a 4080RTX card in my new machine and keen to do some GPU still renders, will Vantage help on single images as well? Have a good weekend All :-)
