[Max] Resolved Bugs / Render stops in adaptivity passes
« on: 2016-09-14, 14:20:20 »
Hello, everyone.
I am having some issues here. I installed the last daily build and the render stops when it reach the same number of passes that is in Render Setup Adaptivity settings.
Default number is 5. So it stops when it reach 5. If I change it to 30. It stops with 30.
Ondra asked me to upload my scene file. But I just tested other scenes and the error persists. So it is not a scene problem. I noticed that when I open my scene, sometimes, as soon as I open it, the scene renders perfectly. But after some minutes this strange behavior starts to happen.
Thank you very much. I really need this to be checked cause I have an appointment with the client tomorrow. :'( And the new things like post processing glare and bloom made some really nice changes in my scene, I don't want to give a step back to 1.4 final. Heheheheh
Thank you again folks. Keep the excelent job!!!

Hello, is there a way to just pre-compute the displacement only when its available (like, just when Backburner render the strip that contains the grass with displacement), or otherwise do not pre computate it. When trying to render a scene in Backburner (the scene is big and have a lot of displacement and geometry) It takes TOO long to pre-calculate. Even if I strip the image in 50 parts. Even a 5px strip takes about 10 minutes to calculate everything. The backburner saves a lot of memory when stripping an image but this time to precalculate is weird. Is there a way to proceed? I hope you understand my question. Thank you!

[Max] I need help! / Parsing scene, building acc. structure
« on: 2014-11-05, 13:45:15 »
Hi folks, I am trying to render an animation with Corona, and it's a large file... actually to complete my 15 passes that I've previously set up to do it takes about 3 minutes. Thats ok, but the problem is that every frame calculates the acc. strucure (Building acc. structure) and it parses the scene (Parsing scene)... this process takes about 3 minutes... So adding the 3 minutes to parse the scene and build acc. structure... plus rendering the 15 passes it takes about 6 minutes to render each frame.
The question is:
Can I pre-parse the scene, and pre-build the acc structure just one time in a sequence so the time to render each frame should be just 3 minutes, the rendering itself?

Thank you!
