The sorting by category is nice, but not done tidily. It rather looks like accidental indentation than subheadings.

The single ACES parameter is fine for now, much clearer in what it does than the multi parameter one we had before.

Crashes reproducibly in "Preparing geometry 4/21"

Scene and bug stuff uploaded.

It looks like disabling Motion Blur helps (well, it does not help, it just avoids the crash as it seems).

Instant crash in PV rendering.

Same software constellation as stated about, except now trying with V8 RC2.

Bug report again blames Corona hair.

I am really curious where this hair involvement could come from.

Confirmed, crashes here, too.
And in the bug report there's the corona hair object mentioned again, although there is no hair anywhere near this scene.

It's either a conspiracy of the bald or a nasty, very far reaching bug.

Corona Hair again, prominently placed in the bug report text.

Reminds me of - any new information what caused my issues?

- Create a corona camera
- In the attributes manager, select the value 0 of the simple exposure and set it to -4.5
- Save it in the AM as a preset, for example "camera corona outdoors"
- If you try and load this preset, the value is reset to 0, not -4.5

Camera settings (in the section above) are not ignored, just tone mapping ones are.

I added a screenshot where I am saving the settings, just to be sure.

The scale issues and the plant material issues are fixed now, thx for that.

People are no longer too glossy, but setting the glossiness to 0% is not the best solution. Usually these people models come with glossiness masks, so that skin, clothing and accessories can have different glossiness values. Will this come?

Does it happen with pure pathtracing, too (no caching involved)?

Ah, yes, you are right. It is probably compatible enough to have it running at least, but not with full functionality. Maybe adding a Corona material internally switches to Skeleton mode, who knows.

My last idea would be to switch on this option (bottom of the screenshot) in the prefs, it usually is not a good idea to use it but maybe it actually helps in this case.

@timg Could you try and delete (or rename) the prefs directory to start with fresh ones?
And is there a new.c4d or template.c4d or the like in your C4D root directory?
