Title: corona crashes!
Post by: E Salas on 2022-05-03, 12:02:01
I currently have a pretty heavy file that I'm working on:

it has plenty different assets, from corona proxys, corona scatter, to laubwerk trees and so on.

As I kept adding more and more stuff, when I hit render, c4d began to crash.

Obviously the way I'm organizing my files is suboptimal - or at the very least I think that's one of the big issues here -, any chance anyone has some good tips on how to better organize files so that they don't crash as easily?

Hi there, Sorry to hear you're getting some crashes. Can you tell me what version of Corona and Cinema you're running? Are you able to share the crash report that get's mentioned at the time of the crash?

It's only a suggestion but can you render after making the laubwerk trees editable? (making instances for copies)

I'm using the current Daily build paired with C4D S26. I've noticed mainly decals and external trees (laubwerk) cause Corona to crash.

This did help! I've also tried to avoid mograph cloner, and use chaos scatter where possible.

Although you may have a workaround, can you please share the crash reports and possibly a test scene with us? If so, please feel free to use the ''Corona Support'' link in my signature below. Thanks in advance. :)
