Light Object vs. Light Material
Aside from IES capabilities, is there any reason I should use one or the other types of light for bunch of ceiling lights in a large interior? Here is a close to final render (only 10 passes) so you can see the context.

Re: Light Object vs. Light Material
"Corona Light material technically does not differ from Corona lights"
That means same look, speed etc?
Is it recommended to use low poly mesh for Corona Light material? Or is there no speed penalty if you use a high poly mesh?
Thanks and enjoy the time with your family!

Re: Light Object vs. Light Material
Lower poly is better (since each poly will become its own light, in effect, at render time). The penalty is not huge as polys go up, but still - always good to optimize where you can.

Also good to know about the polygons and light materials. Didn't know that.
