one gold shader (glossy)
two area lights
planes with emission in Corona and Vray and area lights in Arnold (because it`s faster)

Vray IM+LC 29:34

Arnold 7:14

Corona  (path tracing)
~2:30

~5:30

~9

no need to overlay it. :)

vray is too slow and noisy in that scene.

corona and arnold having almost the same rendertimes (4 times faster than vray),
but in arnold i used area lights instead of planes with emission shader (because it is faster)

I've always wanted to see Arnold up against Corona.

If you share the scene I'll test it in Thea :)

It would be interesting to see how that scene is handle in VrayRT.
What sampler did you use for Vray ? DMC or Adaptive ?

cheers

so... here is new test of vray.
my friend done some tweaking in vray, he is beta tester of vray and he knows more about this render engine, the settings are unobvious for regular artist:

I'm still using Brazil (even though its no longer developed), and it's pretty fast. I can test it if you're interested.

good test, but... this scene not good for corona? Mb test (GI only) on scene like "Corona Alpha4 Benchmark scene" with gray material?
