As shown in the figure below, there is a BOX with volume material in the scene.
And there is a cloud vdb in the BOX, volueme cannot fill the blank area of the vdb.

ps: vdb disappears in rendering when vdb and box intersect.

In the dual 8280, the absence of AVX load increases the temperature by 4-10 degrees

Higher CPU clocks means higher temperature.
The frequency that was originally controllable is now uncontrollable. Rendering is more stressful than a single-load CPU, which is not good news for hedt.
BTW...I didn’t complain about the developers, just reported a problem,sorry for misunderstanding

After some tests, it is found that the AVX offset will be invalid in the mini scene, which is a headache for product rendering.

Test the situation on the 8280 later. The 8280 is rendered at 2.7Ghz in the lower version. If the offset disappears, it may cause a lot of trouble due to temperature problems.

After updating Corona 7, the rendered AVX behavior has changed.
7980xe oc 4.5 AVX offset on -5
In Corona 6 and lower versions, the CPU 100% load can correctly identify AVX offset during rendering, and the CPU frequency is maintained at 4.0Ghz, which can well balance the temperature of the CPU after overclocking.
But in Corona 7, the AVX offset is no longer recognized, rendering will always remain at 4.5Ghz, and the CPU temperature has been greatly challenged.

This seems to be a Max issue. We will investigate and will contact Autodesk if needed.

It's on both IR and final (in the current daily, I should add - who knows in future dailies though depending on what we try, in order to keep everyone happy and getting the max benefit from the power of Corona :) )

I find it makes IR a little less effective for me.  The chunky resolve makes it a little harder to 'predict' the final outcome of a texture, for example, when you are working a mile-a-minute.  Maybe it's just me but that's my $0.02.  Wouldn't matter to me on production but I wonder about its effectiveness for IR.  Maybe it's an option?

Me too.
The new 32x32 bucket has slowed down the IR operating experience by 50% (personal feeling).
I could preview the results in real-time quickly and smoothly while operating,now I have to wait a while. This sluggishness makes me very uncomfortable.
It may be a good choice to only apply 32x32 buckets on the final rendering to speed up.

corona light in reflection shows black when turn off visible in reflections
turn on occlude other lights will fix reflections black but will cast shadows on ceiling

Can't use NvidiaAiDenoiser in final render,max ui crash when I press stop or cancel render. test in 3ds max 2017  gtx 780ti   gtx1050ti  gtx660ti

3DS MAX crash when use lightmix:
set up lightmix>bake to scene>Render setup>Render Elements>turn off active>Press Render>CRASH

turn off elements active or delet all lightmix>start IPR>VFB shows no lightmix>stop IPR>Press render>no crash

Is this a VFB bug or lightmix bug?

win10 64bit  3ds max 2017/2018
