Loving v7 - thanks!
I'm stuck on using a layered material (one of the leathers from the new material library) - I need to have the leather tiled as it is but add a bump layer into the leather of just one non-repeating logo embossoing into the base layer.
Is that possible?
Cheers!

You need to add second UV channel to the object and use it for applying non repeating bump.

Thank you. Do you mean as a separate material tag or in the layered material? Not sure how to use different UV sets here... Thanks

Sorry, i can't give you specific details, since i'm 3ds max user, but i'm sure someone who is familiar with C4D will help you soon.

I think I've got a bit further using the Projector shader for the non-tiling bump overlay (don't think C4D is as clever as 3DS Max) - but it seem sto be getting overly complex.
Can I mix two different bumps?

I hope I understood your inquiry correctly.
Is this what you're trying to achieve?:
(see attached image)
If so, as C4D can handle material stacking, one way to do it is by first defining the displacement, and then overriding the base material that uses displacement with the one that you need (in this case a leather material).
I'm including a sample scene file for you to experiment with. (please use an HDRI file of your own, as I'm not including this one due to file size)
I hope this helps.
Let me know the outcome.
Regards.

Thank you - I'm trying to build mine based on that example.
