Title: Render to texture doesn't work well with override material
Post by: mike_kennedy on 2017-12-20, 14:43:35
I am having a similar issue, the problem is Render too texture doesn't work well with that over ride material setup, we've tested it and it doesn't work as expected or at all for us when baking.

Why tease us with the options, I want one light only too affect a group of objects with shadows, and one other object that needs to be lit from the same light, but not receive shadows from it.

Can you tell us more about your setup? What exactly are you doing, and what is the purpose of this?

Because the only way to pop up a dialog for object include/exclude in 3ds Max is to use this one one meant for light include/exclude ;)

I get you on the Dialogue, still a tease :

Since you guys are part of Chaos now, any chance you could adopt they way Vray does include / exclude for lights and meshes, it's way better than the max way of doing it and way faster since it sees the other models and lights in a scene.

we can consider it in long run, right now it is not a priority
