Hi,

i've put the RoundEdges shader into the bump slot of a corona material, however i'm not getting the expected results. See attached screen grab for material setup and render screen grab.

Any help greatly welcomed

Thanks

On second image you have problem with your texture, it looks like it is missing. Please reload  image in to this channel and see what will happen?
I think that is reason why on the third image is black your material preview window .

Hi,

I never had a texture loaded in there, i just want it to be a solid colour which i have in my diffuse channel.

i brightened up the scene a bit and started to see some highlights on the edges but still get weird dirty edges showing.

See attached

C4D displays that icon for any corona-specific materials, like roundedges, normal, etc. I don't think the program knows what it is, so it shows the missing texture image. I don't think that indicates anything in particular in this context.

@danbush - I think 3cm is to large. This is only a visually effect, not a change in geometry. If you want large rounded edges, you'll need to model it. Try 0,5cm (or lower) and see how it works.

Hope it helps

^This man is a mind reader ;) I also agree. It's for a subtle effect to reduce the harshness of corners/edges. You might be asking too much of the shader ;)

Maybe try to increase the strenght from 10 to 100% (see you 2nd image).
Looks, like it's blending between a harsh edge and the round edge at 10% and i guess you want to have 100% round edges.

Greetings,
