Hi, is this close to what you are looking for?

This looks really good and believable George. Even if it's not what OP needs, i think some of us would still appreciate small making-off, in case we will need to make something like this ;]

Yes, indeed ! nice stuff, George :)

Anyone, please?

Thank you!

Hello,

Could you please share the scene, or even a simpler scene that reproduces the problem (File menu ->Archive) ?

Hello,

It looks like gamma is applied twice to JPG file, no ?
Try to force save file with gamma 1.0: in mxs listener, type FileOutputGamma = 1.0, and then hit Enter.
Or you can try to output as EXR, loading the files with Exr-IO free Photoshop plugin.

Hello,

Good morning,

That's weird indeed - at first I thought reflections were softened because of your alpha, but if it's not this, I don't know ... I will have to find some time to test on my side.

Hello,

Embedded alpha in the PNG maybe ?

44
Yeah, this little trick is pretty hidden, and rarely (never ?) explained in any tutorial indeed. It's years now I explain this little feature to every person I teach 3dsmax to ;)
This can be very useful too for modifiers like XForm or other parametric modifiers like Bend or Stretch for example, given that each object's pivot is correctly placed of course !

Bye.
