  • Fixed:
    • Fixed rare crash in Scanned Material
    • Fixed color picker stuttering when changing values via HWB
    • Fixed freeze when updating material preview of Corona material with TilePro shader
    • Fixed crash when switching active camera via camera lister dialog
    • Fixed a typo in Tile shader tooltips
    • Conversion improvements when rendering native C4D materials
    • Fixed NaNs warnings possibly happening in some scenes with small triangles

Note: All changes in this build will be released in a v11 Hotfix

    • Added option to distinguish by materials to Cryptomatte

    • Added option to reorder tabs in Lister dialog by mouse dragging

    • Lister dialog numeric widgets now use the same step size as standard C4D UI
    • Extended maximum shutter speed in Corona camera to 10'000
    • Extended maximum time limit of render from 24 hours to 240 hours

    • Fixed copying of submaterials when copying Layered material between documents in newer C4D versions
    • Fixed issue with Volume material rendering slower than equivalent Physical material
    • Fixed issue with VDBs sometimes not rendering via Team Render

    • Fixed issue with visibility, masks propagation and Material ID not working for Scanned material

    • Fixed IR updates when modifying fields
    • Fixed issue with all Scanned materials having the same color in ID pass
    • Improved performance of Corona renderer with bucket rendering on high-core count machines

    • Scene converter can now convert between Corona and C4D bitmaps
    • Added rotation parameter in Corona bitmap
    • Optimized cloud generation and added density scaling for more user control
    • Added tooltips in Corona Sun
    • Scene export to Corona Standalone now supports C4D filter shader
  • Fixed:
    • Fixed regression where camera tone mapping would not synchronize with VFB in normal (non-IR) render
    • Fixed issue where sky with clouds was dimmer compared to sky without clouds
      • old scenes will be loaded with Sky object in legacy mode for backward compatibility
    • Fixed Alpha interaction option in Scanned material
    • Fixed incorrect defaults for dome mapping parameters
    • Fixed usage of Corona Proxy as distribution target of Chaos Scatter
    • Fixed issue with Corona Proxy scale not being taken into account when used with edge trimming
    • Fixed usage of animated Corona proxy in Chaos Scatter

NOTE: This version installs new data used by PRG sky model that is currently incompatible with previous versions of Corona. This data is automatically upgraded/downgraded when running installer, however you might have problems if you use multiple versions of Corona at the same time (for example when keeping older Corona versions installed in separate installation of Cinema 4D). We are working on removing this limitation in the future daily builds.

  • Added:
    • Added option to enable edge trimming for the whole Chaos Scatter (i.e. without modifying individual materials used on scattered objects)
    • Added spline UI for additional control of Look At in Chaos Scatter
    • Added option to select connected nodes (incoming and/or outgoing) for nodes in material node editor
      • incoming nodes can be also selected by Alt + left click
    • When new material/shader is added in material node editor, all newly added nodes are selected
    • Added support for exporting several C4D shaders for rendering with Corona Standalone (Checkerboard, Normal direction, Fresnel, Gradient, Falloff, Fusion and Layer)
    • Added accurate sampling mode for environment maps that is slower but delivers more accurate results, especially for large environment maps
    • Added option to distinguish media based on their material (e.g. two intersecting objects with the same material will be now considered as a single volume)
      • this is automatically active for new scenes
  • Fixed:
    • Fixed several issues in Chaos Scatter where instances would not generate for a long time
      • This should hopefully resolve some of the reported issues where the scene would not load for extreme amount of time, please let us know if you can still reproduce it.
    • Fixed issue where changing tone mapping after rendering finishes would reset color profile of image in Picture viewer
    • Improved detection of low memory on macOS (showing RAM usage warning)
    • Reduced UI freezing when using distribution shader in Chaos Scatter distributing over high amount of triangles
    • Fixed maximum value for randomization options in Tile shader
  • Changed:
    • Legacy options in Development/Experimental section in render settings were organized into single section
    • Extended range of solar elevations supported by the PRG sky model
      • it can now render all solar elevations down to -12 degrees (previously only to -4.2 degrees)
