Why do renderings made in 3ds Max with Corona Render look so much better than in Cinema 4d with Corona Render?

do they?

corona is same engine on both. the quantity strongly depends on the user.

on max are more users , so also more talented renderers, maybe thats why you see more from max?

We can play a game. You will post here an image made with Corona for 3ds Max which you believe looks "better" and others will share images made with Corona for Cinema 4D for comparison. :)

See that David Turfitt whisky bottle in another thread about labels with thickness :) That's all C4D and totally on a par with anything from Max (well, actually it's the best bottle renderings from any tool that I've seen, but there is some archviz work with Corona from Max that lives up to similarly awesome quality).

There are indeed many more Max users, and they often have much longer careers in 3D, so that would be the cause of any apparent "difference in quality".

I agree about David's work. His bottle renders are just amazing. :)

We also have a good mix of both host programs on our website gallery. https://corona-renderer.com/gallery :)

Thanks, great to read about Davids work and to see his images. Very beautiful work. Totally outside the scope of my regular archviz work though where everything has to be done the same day....sometimes including the design itself.

Hi frv,

this is a little personal work I had done in c4d.

Surely my work and my renders are not of the highest quality like those of other Corona users and gurus (both in 3dsmax and c4d), but I think that the difference between 3ds max and c4d is only due to the fact that in max you find many more "ready" things on the web but the use is practically identical.
Then if you have a problem, just ask in the forum and everyone will always come to your aid!

Tx, impressive as well. Lots of time, work and expertise went into those images.
3D max has some very advanced plugings from iToo and others. But all can be done in C4D as well.
