Title: Caustics pass in corona4
Post by: fla on 2019-07-31, 12:51:19
Hi!

I'm loving the quality and speed of caustics in v4.
However I have a quick question if somebody could direct me in the right direction.

I'm working on a scene with a pool. The only material on the scene that has the caustics turned on is the pool water. But I'm still getting a lot caustics action on the floor above the pool (see the caustics pass attached).
Is this normal or I have an error in my scene?

Thanks,
m

Looks normal, that's the glass in the windows/patio doors reflecting the sunlight onto the ground, just as would be expected in the real world :)

(Reflective caustics happen for all materials, there is not a switch for those on a per-material basis like with refractive caustics)
