Post by: vinbarg on 2018-01-10, 12:30:46
Hello C_users, i have a question on how to set 3D scene in max to match a photo. I have modeled houses and roads in 3dmax, now i got a photo from drone, how can i match it ? THX

Hello,

3dsmax proposes a perspective matching tool:  (https://youtu.be/rswNzZoVLh8)

I guess that's what you're looking for ;)

I still prefer classic Camera Match (Utilities-> More-> Camera Match). Does it's job if you know your lense FOV which can usually be found in the photo metadata.

Good Luck

It also helps if you have a point of reference in the photo like the dimensions of a building etc.
