The compositing tag is incredibly powerful, would love to see a checkbook for self-shadows as well (like the c4d comp tag allows or the one from Arnold) unfortunately our pipeline needs self-shadows disabled at certain areas.

Hi exr!

Self-shadowing is phenomenon that occurs when the object itself occludes rays cast from the object while pathtracing. Such rays are always GI rays, so what you could do is disable "Visible by GI" in the material settings or in the compositing tag. If you do it, secondary rays will never hit this object.
