Not sure if Corona Scatter respects render time displacement but it's worth trying first before the workaround I posted. If not, it's a good feature request, there's certainly a lot of use cases where Scatter would need to sit on top of a rendertime-displaced mesh.

Scattering on render-time displacement is not supported yet, but you can go to the most wanted feature topic and cast your vote for it to be implemented:

Yes indeed, it would be very useful as it happens in so many situations, like scatter leaves on a displaced asphalt road etc ...
