Dear all,

do you also hate it to search through endless long lists of materials in the C4D material manager?

for exact that we created a new simple yet power4ful helper tool, the material filter plugin, you can find it here in our shop 3dtools.info:

https://3dtools.info/shop/matfilter/

it simplifies the task greatly
you can filter by name or pats of the name,  it updates the search results in real time while you type.
you can dock it anyway in your GUI

hope some of you like it and find it useful:)
cheers
Stefan

Hi Stefan! This will speed up my work with large material libraries! Thank you for this little helper! In R25 it appears in the extensions-menu. How can I load the Plugin in S24 or earlier versions of C4D? Or is it R25 only?

Thank you for this. I just bought it for Mac and I get the security message below. I placed the folder in the PlugIns folder. The link to the instructions is broken. I'm not sure if the usual bypass the security thing works, since it doesn't show in the list.

Any tips on how to get this to work?

in OSX you need to allow any c++ plugin manually, this is not related to c4d or our plugin (this osx feature is a bit like like windows vista used to be),
there is nothing we can do about from our side:

https://c4d.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/4000153503-running-plugins-on-mac-os-catalina-or-later-

sadly apple wants to force all to register via their store, which isnt really possible in a reasonable way for small plugins.
once you did allow it via the security app as described ion the link it will start and work :)

cheers
