[Max] I need help! / noise in the reflection pass
« on: 2015-02-11, 15:52:28 »
Hello everyone,

I am trying to get an internal animation done with corona and Corona is showing the great results, I only have a big issue with trying to eliminate the noise from the reflections. Any help I will really appreciate. Also any help with the best render settings for animation flickering free would be really appreciated. Thanks a lot!

It looks to me that same as in vray " do not render final image " if I understand correct you only need to wait for secondary GI calculation and hit Cancel render. Then use "Load from file " pointing to saved file. Am I correct?

Nothing is ever set is stone on internet,
Completely agree on this, and even more than that -sharing your level of knowledge is absolutely wonderful in such cases when we are just in the beginning of stepping on an undiscovered land. For instances

sometimes I need to crank up pt samples to 64 while leaving light sampling as it is.
it would be very kind to know in what exactly type of scenes or light scenarios. It is strongly recommended to have a FAQ, completed by the most experienced artists in Corona, off course understanding that the most active and knowledgeable members are also humans and most of time they are busy.

Hmm hmm, I think I'll start with some making-of once I finish my project.
Thats a damn good idea!

Hi to everyone. I am new to Corona and from the first step I love it. Here is one of my interior test I done on one of my vray scene, and without words Corona beat Vray on time and quality. And again- this is just converted scene without touching much on materials. Rise Corona!

Hi to everyone! First of all I would like to Thank for this really awesome machine. Love it from the first touch. But Ive  'discovered a problem while trying to use displacement map in a material slot. If I check displacement on- the ram is overrun-ed beyond the limits( more than 24GB and CPU is intact  and the computer is hanged. With displace unchecked everything is ok and the usage of RAM is something around 5GB, most of pressure goes to CPU. Is it any solution for this? Thanks

Fantastic! What settings have you used, I'm referring about translucency?

I am also voting for Cinema 4D. It is a very intuitive and popular. Got a huge potential, but, unfortunately its  developers always look in a wrong way, experimenting with such things, as pseudo physical renders( besides nobody knows what does it mean ). This integration will be revolutionary. And besides - you have in advance so many potential Russian byers- which is nonsense in a century of torrent freedom! That sounds great! Go for it!
