Hello,

I used before a scale map for corona scatter as described on this tutorial:

It doesn't seem to have an effect on corona scatter set to 1D with splines. Is this correct?

What exactly you are trying to achieve? AFAIK, splines doesn't have UV coordinates, so you can't control scale with maps on them.

What I need to do is reduce the size of trees, in this case distributed with splines, as they get closer to buildings.

You can slightly cheat here by turning spline into polygonal mesh object with renderable option and then it will work as you want :]
