Hello everyone. I have a question , I'm trying the demo crown 1.4 making a rug I am using a proxy to generate the hairs on the carpet with scatter crown and the next problem is that I find the way to place an image pattern for my carpet maybe it's something silly, I hope you can help me greetings .

reference images.

I want this but without using hair and fur

I add the material to the base of the carpet as the proxies.

Another way is to use Forest Pack or Multiscatter: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,12177.msg78442.html#msg78442

thanks , I do not MultiScatter , but I read the post you left that can run on forest pack lite,
I am going to try

Technically it can work, you would just lose your Proxy and Scatter options. Under scatter you can just hit "Convert to max geometry", it creates instances of the object. Select one, make it unique, then attach all the rest. Add a Planar UV Map and voila, a Fake.

Not really. That would be completely messed up if the strands would be curvy. Also, an editable poly made of 80k strands or so is not a good idea. :)

You're absolutely right Maru, but that's why I put 'fake' ;)

If he's like me, I actually prefer NOT having all these extra plugins/add-ons/etc. The more you have the more you have to worry about with making sure everything renders. Too many errors over the years. Just a preference. So, I'm used to faking it LOL
