For some reason I am getting random crashes while using the IR. It pauses (1 to 5 seconds) before crashing to the 3Ds Max report popup. The scene is around 5 million polygons with no displacement in the scene. I have attached a Minidump - If anyone can help solve or suggest something I would be delighted. Thanks Mo.

Is there a chance you could try reproducing this in Corona Renderer 6 Hotfix 1?
It might be fixed already.
If you are not getting the same thing in version 6 HF1 - then the solution is to use this newer version.
If you are getting the same thing in version 6 HF1 - we will need a new minidump from this version, and other basic info if possible: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000524006

I have updated it to Corona 6 hotfix 1. All was going well for a few hours of testing a smaller scene and then it crashed at the end of the session. Before it crashed I added a corona normal map - it rendered for about 20 passes (using the IR) until it finally crashed to the Max report rollout. I have added a mini dump. Hopefully may shine some light on it. Thanks Mo

BTW my computer spec is 3950x AMD Ryzen, X570 Unify motherboard, 64gb (3200mhz) ram, RTX 2060 Geforce with 3 SSDs. Win 10 (up to date) Temperatures of the CPU at full load  66 to 70 degrees.

Hi,

Thank you for sending the minidump file to us. I have logged it into our system for further investigation of the problem. If you can also send us your scene file so, we can try to recreate the crash & give you a solution.

You can use our private uploader to send us the file - https://corona-renderer.com/upload

Do let us know the file name after you have done uploading. :)

Regards,
Avi

Hello!

After looking at the minidump file it seems the crash is caused by the fact that a crack was used on your system at some point, so we can't investigate this any further.

To remove the crack files please uninstall Corona and delete everything in "C:\Program Files\Corona", "C:\Users\row\AppData\Local\CoronaRenderer" and "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2020\Plugins\Corona_52_max_fix.dll"

Then re-install Corona and activate, if you still experience the crashes then please let me know.

Cheers,

Rowan
