This might be a bit too niche or might not even possible since it's a max feature.... but would be incredibly useful

3Ds max has a select similar function that when used on a photometric light selects all lights in the scene with the same light shape. When used on a Corona light it just selects all corona lights. Is there any attribute that can be added to corona lights so that it behaves the same as photometric lights when 'select similar' is used?

I just created a few photometric lights:
-5 with distribution type "Uniform spherical"
-5 with distribution type "Spotlight"

Selected one "Uniform spherical" light, right-clicked, selected "select similar" > Max selected all lights in scene (both "Uniform spherical" and "Spotlight" types).

Any hints how to reproduce this?

It looks like it only works when the difference is the light's shape ( point, line, rectangle, disk, sphere, and cylinder).  Any other lighting difference doesn't distinguish it from another type of light of the same type.

Again this may be super niche and not at all that worth the time. It just helps a bit when setting up selection sets.

This sounds like a Max problem, nothing to do with Corona but as a convenience, we can consider trying to enable it for Corona lights. Not sure it can be done, though.

Maybe a select instances might do the trick or do you mean something else?
