Similar to how VRay and Arnold work, please implement the ability to insert a UDIM tag in the file name of a bitmap to automatically read multiple UDIM tiles with a single CoronaBitmap map.

For example: myTexture.<UDIM>.exr

Thanks!

If the upcoming 1.7 release of Corona really is more VFX orientated, I'd really love to see native UDIM support for those of us who are texturing finely detailed assets. For example, one of the main characters I have in my film has 69 tiles, and I currently have to bring in each tile seperately and plug them into a CoronaMix map for each type of map I have, which makes for unnecessarily large shader networks (see atachement) and having to deal with a slow Slate editor.

Thanks!

I was just reading old blog posts from the Corona website, and I just read that the C4D  version of Corona has had UDIM support since Alpha V5...!? Why doesn't the Max version have this feature?

Well, UDIM support is not a feature of the Corona core, but it's something that has to be tailored to suit the host application. That said, the C4D team can provide some hints to the 3DSMax team, but the code will have to be written from scratch.

Can't this be a corona bitmap feature? (read the u v tag in filename and map it to those uv tiles) I thought that's how vray does it.

Any movement on this? My Slate editor is getting very slow with all of the CoronaBitmap nodes, sometimes in excess of 250 of them [Edit], and that's just for a single asset.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping that it would be included in the V5 update, but top priority sounds good to me!
