hi guys, most time we need to use IR with respecting the output size ratio to check what will the final result be, but sometimes i think i need IR to disrespect the output size ratio too. because in my workflow i mostly used docked IR to setup the material of each object.
see attached images, the IR view is too small to see and will looks larger if IR is unlocked from the output size ratio.

so, please dev team make an maybe a checkbox to make IR respect and not respect the output size ratio. because i need both of them.
thanx.

This is when you use blow-up. You set the blow-up region and it renders to the full IR window size.

There's really no need at all to have a respect aspect ratio option, therefore. IMO the IR window should always respect the aspect ratio unless you're using blow-up.

I agree with noel20. "Respect Output Ratio" is great when setting up your camera and polishing your render, but in many other cases it would be nice if IR filled out the viewport - as in older versions.

So +1 for this options : )

IMHO a clean" and logical solution could be to have IR following the viewport safe frame settings;
- If safe frame is on, the render aspect ratio is used.
- If safe frame is off, then the viewport aspect ratio is used.

This way there's no need for extra checkboxes or buttons :)

Yes, very good suggestion (if possible to implement)!
