Hi Exor, Well done! I was curious...Is the whole scene 3d? If so do you mind showing clay renders?

Alex

Hey Alex,
sorry for the late reply! The whole scene is 3d yes. The header here https://www.behance.net/gallery/61455733/The-Shelter-(full-CGI) is a clay.
cheers ben

That's definitely a good one, and the mood is making the shots.
I'm curious to know how you did the rain in CG, as you mentioned that you worked just with 3d elements.

hey thanks, yes the rainsplashes on ground are 3d. on behance I've some High-Res and Screenshots from the Scene:

Hello folks,
after two weeks of trial & error, research and development - now  I'm proud to show you my first results of the non commercial project "the shelter".
The idea was inspired by an image from the photographer Michael Schauer.
The architectural context arise by my self and seems to be fit with the outline of the mountains.
Some of the most important aspects of the project are the approach to the sophisticated photorealism only with cg elements.

Software: Cinema 4D, Corona Render, Adobe Photoshop
Photoinspiration: Michael Schauer
Production: 5K

Hello folks,

some weeks ago we're testing the scope of VR in Corona Renderer & Cinema 4D in animations. It contains ~740 frames, rendered in 4k stereoscopic on our machines in our office (was an mess^^).
If you have the VR Gear or other VR device it should work.
I think VR Animations will be in near future an really nice feature but currently the resolution is to less for immersive experiences.
The hardware need some years for smooth motions.
Not to mention interactive stuff on mobile devices.

yes thanks the alpha works now.
But since yesterday I had often crashes if I work with materials (often I copy assets from other projects that makes trouble with the materials I think).

*update: I think it is because the emission channel and old materials, there is a interpretation conflict!

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / A6 (daily 14.october) bugs/ wishes
« on: 2016-10-31, 18:57:44 »
Build timestamp: Oct 14 2016 19:12:19
Version: A6 daily Oct 14 2016 (core 1.5 DailyBuild Oct 12 2016)
Cinema version: CINEMA 4D Studio R17.055 S -Windows 7

At first, thanks to the Corona team! You do awesome work and the latest release is really stable and works smooth!

I've some personal wishes for the final c4d release:

- alphamask in output don't work (bug)

- displacement makes trouble with highres render stuff. often it crashes c4d or windows (I think it is a point of RAM and the settings) but maybe there are some possibilties to stabilize and optimize that?
there is also a difference if work with uvw vs. cube mapping. (see att.)
- reflectionlayers in standard mat. to have a faster way to create realistic coated materials (blendmat is okay but the workflow is circuitous)
- mix strength glossychannels with value
- hdri lighting workflow through refractive stuff (not sure if you already fix that point)

what do you think?

best regards,
Ben
