I am getting NaN issues much more often since Corona 11 HF1. It happens during IR while changing displacement values of Corona Displacement modifier. Of course if I save the scene it remains plagued by this problem :(
Is there any script or anything that might clean it?

We agree - so long as all testing goes well with the proposed build, we hope to have this out as an 11 HF on Monday (so far there is the 12 daily that has the fix).

I'll wait for the hotfix, i'm a bit afraid of daily builds.
This has been one of the most weirdest bugs ever. Imagine, setting everything right in the scene, send it to network, result is shifted shadows. I was like, what in the woooooorld. Check animation keys, multiple suns etc. Reinstall Corona, curse ADSK to oblivion (as usual:)) ).

A workaround is to uncheck target from the sun. Then it's fine, it's how I do it until Hotfix

A safe hotfix is URGENT imo. I have this problem in all my scenes, weirdly scenes made with Corona 10. It is impossible to render on the network because of this problem, not to mention rendering on rebus. I'm not sure is such a rare thing

This is not really a Corona issues but :

You can use the offset parameter to manually align them, you don't have that many anyways.

I can confirm that the problem happens even without remote desktop software. At this moment I am toast and unable to render my animation.

It happens with the backburner as well! At this moment I am literally unable to render an animation, there's no solution. And now it happens every frame or once every 2 frames.

My scenes are local, but it happens when using the network as well. The situation is quite desperate.
I know someone else suggested, but can anyone write a super simple app to move the selected window 1 pixel to the left, then a pixel to the right every 30 seconds or so? I cannot think of any other workaround.

I haven't installed the latest security update tho, ADSK keeps bugging me about it but I literally didn't have a minute for that.

Jesus! Yesterday I've put a small animation to render, the scene has like 4 objects (with a Phoenix simulation) and it rendered fine 20 out of 400 frames and at frame 21 it got stuck. I woke up this morning hoping to see the animation done and it's a disaster. i never imagined it can start to render fine some frames and then suddenly and randomly to get stuck at scene parsing.
I am using Teamviewer and Corona 8 hotfix 1.

it happened before but I didn't pay attention ona a different scene. The "fix" was to click on the MAX's render window and move it a bit.

Hi there!

On the complex IOR for materials, could you pretty please add some presets? Like Complex Fresnel map has from Siger? Inputing 6 values for a specific metal is a bit of an overkill. It would nice if that could be done. A simple dropdown with some preset values ( Gold, silver, chrome, bronze )

EDIT :  After I reset the corona settings in my problematic scene all is fine... It was an older scene, made with older corona so maybe that was the culprit. I keep forgetting to reset settings when opening old scene. Sorry for this!

Sorry for the lack of details, I was in the middle of the project and just quickly typed here.

 It was in the final render. I had the correct camera, no perspective or other things like that. And the camera does control the DOF, as it takes the initial distance to the object. The object was a simple sphere, not linked, not grouped in anyway.

 I will have one more look and I will get back here with my results.

Hi there,

Set DoF on
Select override: object

Animating the object further away/closer to the camera will NOT change the DoF. The camera seems to lock in the initial distance to the object but doesn't update it during an animation if the "tracked" object moves. I noticed this the hard way :D

I am using Corona 7. I will manually animate the distance parameter as a workaround.

Hi guys,

Are there any tips and tricks for rendering an animation with Corona? I searched the forums but I cannot find any recent posts. My main problem is denoising.

How can a Corona animation be denoised? Or it is better to render it as exr and try to denoise it later on in post? Because as far as I can see temporal denoising is not possible with Corona?

Also my render times, to get decent noise are around 25 min/frame on a 3950X which is extreme considering this https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=15448.msg97645#msg97645 animation was 30 minutes on a 6 core old Intel machine. My scene is quite simple but I have a couple of Led strip lights (planes with corona light material on them) which are close to walls or pieces of furniture. I also have huge glass windows with renders from outside to inside. Is there any way to speed up glass rendering?
