[Max] I need help! / Corona 7 physical material

I've noticed that there are few changes to how things used to work in the legacy material. Gloss roughness is reversed. Now lower numbers mean sharper reflections and higher ones means more blurred. Translucency controlled by Opacity?

[Max] Bug Reporting / Corona 7 and object properties issue
« on: 2021-08-25, 20:16:13 »
So I'm rendering a scene that has a plane in front of my model with a photo plate assigned to it. In Corona 6, and as my typical setup, I set the planes object properties to not generate shadows or receive shadows.  Always worked fine. The scene is lit with an HDRI image only. My typical rig for exteriors. In Corona 7 I'm getting an issue problem with my setup.  Even with shadows off in object properties, the plane is throwing some bad shadows onto my model. If I turn off reflect and refract in object properties, shadows are gone, but then I don't get the refractions I would if it was on.  Using 3ds MAX 2021.  Any fix for this? Or confirmation that this is a problem?

Similar to what's available in Vray 5.  Would be nice to have it as an override that can be turned on and off as needed vs. having to use a coronawire material in the override slot.

[Max] General Discussion / Vray vision

Has anyone seen the new feature for SketchUp? Vray Vision? Looks like a replacement for Enscape.  Is Corona planning on having a Corona Vision for 3ds MAX? Rendering animations take forever so if there was a way to have something like Enscape and TM where you can render fast animations that would be awesome. Just saying.  I know Chaos has Project Lavina, but having to switch back and forth is a pain.

Corona has all of a sudden stopped working.  Crashing Max without any error message when I try to run the interactive renderer or render the scene. I using 3ds MAX 2019, Corona 5 on a Windows 10 system.  When I try to use the material editor or slate editor is locks up and I have to kill the session.

Not isolated to one file.

[Max] I need help! / 3dsMax 2019 Freezes
« on: 2020-07-17, 06:43:02 »
When I try to edit a texture and need to initiate the material editor to select a map or texture, 3dsmax freezes. It was working fine, but all off a sudden I'm having this issue.  Any idea what could be causing this?  3ds max 2019, Corona 5, and Windows 10.

Once I'm done rendering and save my image from the frame buffer, it's dark when I open the exr file in Photoshop. It's not reading the Max 2.2 gamma correction. How resolve this? Also, how do I save all my passes at once in the frame buffer.

[Max] I need help! / Animation process in Corona
« on: 2014-11-17, 21:53:42 »
Anyone have a clear idea of what the best process is to create fast animations...architectural exterior and interior would be.  I'm assuming the steps would be as follows:

Use Path Tracing for Primary and Use HD Cache for secondary
Render from scratch and save the solution to a file
Then select Load and append and run the animation for every 30th frame.
Then run the full animation with the load file option.

Would this be the correct way to get the cleanest and fastest time/key frame ratio?
