Is Corona for cinema 4d Slow because of its alpha stage?

Hi I have been trying to get a clean image using the scene provided by Thomas Vournazos, even after 45 minutes there is still noise.
Computer setup:
 i7 3930k @ 4 Ghz
 6 core 12 threads
 64 gig ram

So I was wondering if this problem is due to corona being in alpha stage, will it be fixed? I also noticed render times from other people on the facebook page above the 20 hours.

I second that question. If I'm not mistaken final 3dsmax alpha releases got some nice render time boosts at the end. Is something similiar planned for c4d version aswell?
