New exposure works like exposure compensation in digital cameras, you can go into negative values, so try something like -1 to -2 ;)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh... ok! thank you, some time the Highlight compression is not work fine, I tell you... if you change from 25 to 50 you don't see anything change, maybe good create a rage for this spinner or not?

Good.... in the first time I don't find more parameters, but is look is great and now it's more methodical.

So...

CoronaCameraMod for clipping, but I don't see in the viewport notthing, maybe you can apply a little helper for reference (like as classic clipping plane)

- Optional Light portals... where is it?

- In italian forum ask when implemention the IES/DATA lights ?

I don't understand the new Post Processing... I create a simple scene with plane and cube, corona material with diffuse 140-140-140 if I put:

Exposure compensation 0,1
Highlight compensio 25-50 or up the result is the same in Frame Buffer I have a more white image.

Where I'm wrong?

Don't worry... it's a fast test (you can find here http://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,563.0.html ) and it's a old scene... also Pro-Material is lost/change with MetaSL, but I don't use it....

I try to convert a scene from 3DS Max 2008 and Mental Ray... I used the scripts and:

-  on pro-material/autodesk library don't works and in some case go to crash
Unfortunately I don't have 2008. It might be possible that the script uses methods which are from future releases and that may cause malfunctions/crashes.
I never tried scenes with pro/autodesk materials (I never used any of these so thb I've no idea what those are)

Should not be happening but may be related to the upper problem. If you find such a material you may want to upload it here (or send it to me) as a matlib and I'll have a look :)

Hi everyone,

I will share with you my last test, I used a old scene based on Mental Ray renderer and I add some eleemnt (like as carpet for test the bump and displace). I apply a few postproduction with Nuke, I hope you like it (obviusly we can do the better but it's only a fast test)...

I can choose only 3 but I will give my opnion in details, premiere I will say you my experience;

I worked for more years in the Arch-viz sector, in the last 5 years I specialize in the sector of animation and in particular on the world of Fluid Simulation. In production of animation is more important the quality/time for frame and Corona Render (for what I see now) is very good...

SSS -> good idea

Multilayer material -> good idea

Matte/shadow material -> I think is fondamental for one renderer... obviosly for animation sector...

IES lights -> good idea

Carpaint shader -> good idea

Multilight (postprocess light intensity editing) -> good idea (is very great step)

Hair & Fur -> good idea

Distributed rendering - > I need try with Backburner of 3DS Max, I think is a good solution Backburner for animation and DR for still frame.

Also I think, for my point of view, the integration of Particles Systems (Standard and Pflow) usually I render it in another engine, but in some case is very userful render it in the same engine....

Hi,

I download the Alpha version and start to some test in that test I take a scene created in V-Ray and convert with the scripts (I don't check more details on the corverrsion) apply coronaSun and start a rendering... I will give thank you for the render element and sRGB space because is very interesting and NukeX Know very well when open EXR file..and very fast renderer... I start with another test now ;)
