I`d like to post my latest work. Both images were done pretty fast so they`re not perfect in terms of materials and composition.
Living room is mix of HDR and Sun and bedroom is single HDR map. Both were rendered in 5k with MSI100 (+- 2hours for each image)

Great looking stuff! Please don't be too modest ;)
Move door handle on the doors lower(second image).
-
They look amazing! Especially the bed clothing :) Great job, really. And the sun in first one reminds me sunny winter late afternoons. It really has that atmosphere :)
-
Amazing renders michaltimko, love it :) Keep up the great work!
-
Absolutely top draw! The client must have been happy with these. I love the quality and tone of light. The details in the bed are superb, did you model that yourself with MD?
-
Great mood i like :)
-
Oh yes this work is amazing ! I really really the first image with this end of day lighting, it's a splendid atmosphere.
The second is full of good modeling work... congratulations !
-
They have perfect use of sun ! You almost rarely see this now, as people think diffuse is answer for everything but right angle of sun give such a mood :- ).
It feels very warm and welcoming.
Heh and also, wide-lens = )
-
Awesome! Light beam especially on the carpet. How old are you doing visualization of interiors?
Потрясающе! Особенно свет на ковре. Как давно вы занимаетесь визуализацией интерьеров?
-
Lovely sun in the first one! Great work! :)
-
Hi.....very good use of sun....love the yellowish tone of the sun...first image is my favorite..
-
Thank you guys for positive feedback.
Zeus : Im in archviz "industry" since 2008/2009. I remember this exactly because Ondra (Keymaster) was posting his first Corona tests on maxarea.cz and i was posting there my first renders also.
Juraj : Thanks. Honestly, i cant "live" without sun in my renders. Im very often using mix of Peter`s HDR with gamma 1 + custom sun.
Even when using sun angle like 64-80 degree im using custom temperature and size of the sun to get very soft shadows and subtle lightning.
-
Tell me more about render settings. Better way is to show screenshots.
Did you optimize rendering this way -> reflective caustics turned off through CoronaRaySwitch Mtl on floor - GI is diffuse only, but reflection/refraction and direct visible had reflection?
-
Love it ! I can feel the sun in your renders, cheers !

Render settings are pretty standard. PT+PT+MSI100+16PTS.
Im using CoronaRaySwitch only wen using too colorful textures. This scene doesnt contain any "fakes". Double glass windows and just standard materials (except chair cloth, its more complicated).
Chakib - Thanks
-
ohh australian sunset.. :) nice renders man.
-
Thank you guys.
Here CoronaAO in action. Every part of this object have simple box mapping.

Very nice subtle lighting :)

Fantastic light and mood, especially on first pic!)
Very nice pictures!
-
Stunning images - what was your lighting set up for these? Any making of's would be fab!
-
Thanks guys. Lightning is pretty simple. Just HDR mixed with Sun.
These 2 images were lit just with HDR.

Stunning! Which HDRI are you using for the last two images?
-
I dont remember exactly but i think it was modified 1658 (PG).
-
And how was it modified if I can ask ? Hhaha, just kidding.
Nice images :- )

these are highly photorealistic and beautiful... are the shaders custom made or seiger or from corona resources?... can you also check and share precisely what HDRI u used . thanks sir
-
Im not using any material libraries so all materials are custom. They are utterly simple.
-
Had few spare hours so here is what i did. Testing fog and mood for personal project.

Have you got any additional hidden black/white planes to cast/block shadows and light in preferred directions here?
I do like your approach to lighting.
-
I was never V-ray user and years back i was using only unbiased renderers where i learned to not use any "fakes". Projects i did in past never "forced" me to use any additional lights because only thing i was looking for was photorealism in nautral way. So no, i never use planes / lights in my interiors.
Most of them are HDRi + spot lights, like in real life. Im trying to keep my scenes simple.

That's a very good approach in Corona. :)
-
You captured that nice sunny feel. Excellent!
-
can u explain how you combined hdri with corona sun? what were the settings like? i imagine u had to change some values in the sun and hdri to work correctly? where there any tips we should keep in mind when using such methods of lighting? what are the pros and cons of this method over just corona sun and sky combination... is it preferable? thanks
-
Lovely images.
I like alot the deciduos trees outside... are they modeled? What program did you use for generating the trees?
thanks
GA

Absolutely wonderful renderings! The lighting is amazing! I like how you used the combo of HDRI and the sun. the scenes all look very cozy and inviting! Great work! Just incase I missed it somewhere, are these personal projects?
-
Something new...will post whole interior later when its all finished. All those images below are just noisy drafts for client.

Wow man! the dof is great! The fabric material in the couch :)!!! is that the original texture or you buy/make it ???can share?
-
forget the couch and get the carpet! It is vintage now. I remember debugging its rendering sometimes in 2012 :D
-
Most legendary carpet ^^
-
Awsome drafts! How do you make the bulbs? Light inside the glass bulb object or light material? Hdri only?

HDR+Sun as usual, bulbs are hipoly bulb models with LightMtl applied.
-
Nice set of images. good.
-
i would like to know if you reduced the intensity of the sun(to something like 0.05) to work with the hdri or you just played with the exposure controls to give the desired results....either way, which would be the most realistic approach? and would it work the same in exterior scenes as well?

Im always adjusting sun`s size / intensity. Pairing HDR with sun is what i use lately. It needs some time to develop your own "presets". Experiment and do what you like. Important are pixels in final image.
-
How many passes you usually render at? Also, which resolution?

Every image (final) is rendered at 5000px. And i dont know how much passes, really. Im using 5x6core xeon renderfarm so 5k images are clean after 1-2 hours.

Another one. Too much bump on the floor / chair.

I do like your approach to lighting.
Which HDRI are you using please? Some of the are so hit and miss with producing good results!

Some guys should put that question into their signature - "Which HDRI you had used?". That'd save a lot of typing ;]
-
also "can you send me your scene and what are your MSI settings?" :D
-
Also,... oh, wait, it is already in my signature.
-
as always you have pretty nice set of renders here. love how you play with the lighting.
