Hello there,

finally had some time to render out project for my portfolio, using corona of course!

3D render of New Balance Visaro shoes. Originally it was part of commercial project for www.hellomono.tv (thanks for inviting me to this project!). After it was done I decided to revist it and make renders for my portfolio. Therefore I did shading, lighting and postproduction all by myself. I also helped a bit with modeling main shell and general proportion of the shoe, rest was done by another modelers: Marek Woźniak and Łukasz Skurczyński.

Hi,

just get Allegorithmic Newsletter about new update for substance designer, one position look especially cool :)

This update targets mostly the 3D view, graph, export and performance; most importantly:
3D view features : tesselation and opacity support in PBR shaders.
Convert maps to Vray/Corona/Redshift/Arnold targets using the PBR converter filter.
Pixel Processor node performance boost on DX10 engine: about 50 times faster :)
Graph improvements: options to render comments at constant size, and to disable new node display in the 2D view.
Option to hide/display PSD layers in the library preferences.
This release also contains many bug fixes.

Gallery / Linie Aquavit

Hi all,

I'm happy to share with you another project I did in Corona, this time is a short animation for Good Morning agency and Linie Aquavit.
I did all by myself, from modelling to final look.  I end up with about 6/8 min per frame on my machine but was on rush so I used rebusfarm for network rendering.

Hey,

so I'm working on commercial project now and I'm on rendering stage, I wanted to try Rebusfarm for network rendering but this seem to support only bucket mode.

rendering frame on my pc took 15min / 600 passes, now, the question is how to setup bucket mode to match this quality, is there a way of doing this or I need to do new testing?

btw, does anybody used rebusfarm with corona?

Hello,

I wanted to share with you project that I have done long time ago, I think it was render on Corona v4. Render times took 15 min for hi-res but it was clean after 8/10 min.  Anna Mierzejewska was helping me with modeling and texturing, I did modeling and texturing too but also lighting and rendering, as well as postproduction but that wasn't heavy retouching as render from corona was good already.

like in vrayframe buffer, it's little nice option called 'save all image channels'

can we have it in corona buffer as well?

hey,

is it just me or everybody got the problem with changing size of coronalight, I mean - when you change size of light (radius/width/height) light in viewport is not refreshing in realtime :/ what I have to do is to change type of light from one to another and then go back to what I have originally and then size of light in viewport is like it shoud to be.

apart from that, would be nice to have viewport preview of light directionality (like you have in latest Vray)
I have this in both, max 2012 and 2013 ( Build timestamp: Mar 18 2013 11:46:59 (ALPHA v4 )

I'm also testing Corona renderer, at first I will try to make a glass, this is how it's look like for now:





later I will try to add beer inside and maybe few drops on glass.
