This scene is giving me a hard time.
When I first load it, it renders. Rather quickly, too.
Trying to render it a second or third time mostly works as well, but there will be a time when it won't. Usually the third time I try. It starts preparing scene data and never(?) stops. Minutes after the first render attempt it still is preparing.
It does not matter if I cache the dynamics or not. Usually caching even is the key for an instant "neverending process".
Rendering the full original scene does not even work at the first time. Never lived to see a result.

I hope you can reproduce the problem and well, fix it.

Michael

Corona Beta 2 from May 30, Win 10 - lates update, R 19.053 and later.

To QA:
I uploaded the full file for testing purposes as 1530998293_bumpy-ride-fin-corona.zip via your uploader.
If I turn on motion blur (objects), which is off in the file and press "render", I could not get Corona to start rendering, it is stuck in preparing.
It also got stuck after removing the dynamics part (just left the standard particles in, plus a few keyframes for simple object animation).

I hope it helps.

I found a little time to test even further. It is working with a Corona beta, time stamp from Nov 10, motion blur is on and it just starts, renders and finishes.
So I am a little confident to say that the problem is in the MB code of the latest beta 2 (and has been in there for some time, because I tried with a beta before the latest and it did not work there either).

There's definitely something going on here, seems to work fine with the IR but not the VFB or PV.

So I am not imagining things ^^

I hope it can be fixed. I am about coronafying more scenes, let's see how they will be doing.

Hello

I can confirm that motion blur feature hang on scenes definietly. I tested it for different object and camera motion blur situations:

- simple object movement betwenn two keyframes
- cached frames animaation of cloth simualtion
- baked object points animation to mdd file

all these animated scenes cause freeze corona render at preparind data process. Without motion blur ticked on everything work fine.

Regards
Neb

    • My personal website
I encountered this on my latest project which was an animation that had motion blur. Had to roll back, I think it was the November build that ultimately worked.

Uncool! :))

No, you do not imagine things, as far as I can tell.  ;-)

I have the same issue and found out, that this is most of the time happening after changing a parameter in the scene.
It happens rarer after opening a scene and just hitting render.
And this issue is strongly connected to Object MB.

It would be very cool if you could sort this out.
